چکیده

Staphylococcus aureus is a well-known op¬portunistic pathogen that causes wide range of acute and chronic diseases in both humans animals. Staphylococcal food poisoning just one many caused by this bacterium. The causative agents are entero¬toxins produced enterotoxigenic strains S. during its growth favourable conditions food. Epidemiological data show often found raw milk cheeses accordingly, implicated outbreaks. Since there no on the nature isolated from cheese Croatia, aim study was to determine occur¬rence, enterotoxin production capability antimicrobic susceptibility iso¬lates domestic Dubrovnik area. A total 30 samples were analysed, 18 (60%) highly contaminated with strains. contamination level ranged 3.94 6.26 log10 cfu/g. Such high contami¬nation supported an inappropriate temperature regime above 8°C market sale. Although contaminated, staphy¬lococcal enterotoxins not detected any samples. 180 coagu¬lase-positive isolates collected samples, 175 which confirmed as latex agglutination test. En¬terotoxin 35 (20%), these 32 staphylococcal C. other three presumably E. Antibiotic resistance 1.1% only mupirocin. However, full comprehensive conclusion cannot be achieved with¬out determining genotype characteristics for presence genes molecular typing, origin isolates.

Characterization for enterotoxin production, virulence factors, and antibiotic susceptibility of Staphylococcus aureus isolates from various foods in Portugal.

Staphylococcus aureus represents a public health challenge worldwide. The aim of this study was the characterization of different food isolates of S. aureus on the basis of their production of enterotoxins, hemolysins and resistance to antibiotics. A total of 148 coagulase-positive staphylococcal strains isolated from different food origins were identified to the species level. By multiplex PCR...

Association between the enterotoxin production and presence of Coa, Nuc genes among Staphylococcus aureus isolated from various sources, in Shiraz

The present study was aimed to identify the frequency of coagulase (Coa) and thermonuclease (Nuc) genes and Staphylococcal enterotoxin A (Sea) production among Staphylococcus aureus isolated from various sources in Shiraz. Moreover, the correlation between the Sea gene and coagulase and thermonuclease enzymes is also considered. A total of 100 S. aureus were isolated from various sources includ...

Occurrence of Staphylococcus aureus on Farms with Small Scale Production of Raw Milk Cheeses in Poland.

This paper describes the results of a 3-year study on the prevalence, enterotoxinogenicity and resistance to antimicrobials of S. aureus isolated on dairy farms with small scale production of raw cow milk cheeses. The samples of raw milk, semi-finished products and the final products as well as swabs were collected between 2011 and 2013 from nine dairy farms in Poland. A total of 244 samples we...

Enterotoxin gene profiles among Staphylococcus aureus isolated from raw milk

Milk is considered a nutritious food because it contains several important nutrients including proteins and vitamins. Conversely, it can be a vehicle for several pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus. This study aimed to analyze the frequency of genes encoding the nine Staphylococcal enterotoxins (SEs) and enterotoxin gene profiles in S. aureus isolates derived from raw bovine milk....
